Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is an American writer, performer and actress well-known for her character Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Then, in 1956 she had her breakthrough with a performance on Broadway with Li'l Abner. In 1957, she launched her first album of music entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise began her Hollywood career in 1958, as she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. It was a huge success and Louise was awarded her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. During this time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her most memorable performance came from 1964, when she was signed by CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise Balfour continued to successfully juggle between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber character as against her famous image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 as well as Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has gained recognition for herself as a director of popular TV shows like Supernatural. She was born in Essex on August 28th 1965. She and her family moved to Toronto when she was three and she continued to live there throughout in the adolescent years and childhood. After being chosen in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there since then.
