sylvester stallone-4-1024x1024Stallone was conceived in Hell's Kitchen, New York City's charity hospital. His birth was complicated by forceps injuries that caused a tear to a facial nerve. He was left with an eyelid that was loose and a speech impairment. Stallone spent the majority of his youth in boarding facilities. He was reunited with his family when he turned five years old and relocated with them to Maryland. After his divorce from his parents in 1957, Stallone initially lived with his father. He later moved to Philadelphia at 15 years old to be with his newlywed mother. He attended a private institution specifically designed for troubled teens due to his previous history of having been expelled from schools.
